Privacy

Ream collects nothing. This page explains what that means in practice.

Your documents stay on your device

Everything Ream does — scanning, text recognition, compression, signing, redaction and password protection — runs locally on your iPhone or iPad. Your documents are never uploaded, and Ream contains no code that sends them anywhere.

No account, no analytics, no tracking

There is no sign-up. Ream has no analytics SDK, no advertising identifier, no crash reporting service and no third-party trackers. Nothing you do in the app is recorded or sent off the device.

What Apple handles

If you buy the 99¢ unlock, the purchase is processed by Apple. Ream never sees your payment details; it only asks Apple whether this Apple Account owns the unlock.

Photos and camera

The camera is used only while you are scanning. Photos are read only when you pick them yourself — Ream never browses your library.

If you contact support

Messages sent through the support form are delivered by Web3Forms to a private inbox, and are used only to answer you.

Children

Ream is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
